The dental technologist designs and fabricates dental restorations such as crowns, bridges and dentures as directed by the dentist. This dental professional may choose to be employed by a dental office/lab or may be self-employed. The program is fully accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation and consists of two academic years leading to either a certificate of completion or, with an additional 18 credit hours, an Associate of Applied Science degree.

  Denturism

 The Oregon State Denturist Association   http://www.ordenturist.org/

 

 George Brown University, Toronto, Canada  

 offers a Denturist Outreach Program for Dental Technicians, who have worked in a commercial lab for at least three years.

  High School Diploma is a must.

 

 The only College in America which offers a Denture Technology curriculum is Bates Technical College, Tacoma, WA
